The Order’s Public Relation Official DSP Dungus Abdulkarim uncovered this in an explanation gave to newsmen on Tuesday.
The suspect, apparently, prior had an illegal illicit relationship with the mother of the person in question.
“The victim reported the menace to her father which eventually led to the divorce of the mother.
“The suspect became wild and developed interest towards the victim and then decided to transfer his aggression on her by attacking her in the house after her father left for his shop on 20th September 2023 at about 2030hrs”, he said.
Agreeing the police representative, the suspect later assaulted the 13-year-old.
He, in any case, noticed that investigation is presently progressing at the State CID, Damaturu, after which the suspect will confront arraignment.
Abdulkarim added that the casualty has been treated and released from medical clinic.
In the mean time, the Magistrate of Police (CP) in Yobe State, Garba Ahmad, has asked individuals of the state to be aware of circumspect components in the general public and report them to the closest police headquarters.
While upholding stiffer assents against attackers, the CP entrusted officials and men of the Order to continuously guarantee legitimate examination and industrious indictment of culprits.
“Justice should not only be done, but be seen to have been done”, the CP added.
