Oil bunkering: over 30 people died in Rivers State community
Over thirty people have supposedly kicked the bucket in Ibaa community, Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, following a fire blast from an unlawful oil refining site.
The fire, as indicated by a source from the local area, who talked on the state of obscurity, radiated from a local refining cooking pot. which was associated with a pit where a few people were scooping unrefined petroleum removed from a pipeline.
We also gathered that a portion of the victims burnt to the point of not being recognized. While others died before they were hurried to the hospital for medical consideration.
The incident was said to have happened late Sunday night.
The Rivers State Police Order is yet to offer an authority expression about the awful occurrence.
